Meet Krypton’s Team
Cyrus Salesse is one of the Co-Founders and the CEO of KRYPTON. He brings with him more than 25 years of leadership and operational management experience. Previously and for over 20 years, he held direct operational positions for a number of reputable and global companies such as IBM and Nissan
His in-depth knowledge of the automotive, manufacturing, banking, telecommunication, IT, services, contracting/construction, and retail & distribution sectors makes him a valuable addition to any team
As the COO of the Infiniti brand of luxury cars, in his last position at Nissan, Mr. Salesse was responsible for managing and globalizing the Infiniti brand. Prior to that, initially as a General Manager and later as a Vice President, he had led the global restructuring program of Nissan in Japan as well as the restructuring of Nissan European operations. This included improvements in manufacturing productivity, re-design of the distribution channels, sales, marketing, after-sales, as well as the outsourcing of support functions such as purchasing, HR, and IT to Eastern Europe and India.
Mr. Salesse’s professional career begun in the United States and has taken him to Europe, the Middle-East, as well as to Asia-Pacific – including 5 years in Japan. He has an innate understanding of business, people, and process, which serves as a solid foundation for strategic planning and sound decision-making.
Holder of an Executive MBA from IBM MDC (Wharton Business School Program) as well as the Nissan Global Executive Training (GET) Program. Mr. Salesse graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from La Salle University in Philadelphia, USA.
Khalil Sehnaoui is one of the Co-Founders and Managing Partner of KRYPTON. He brings with him more than 10 years of financial, marketing and start-up development experience. Prior to his involvement in the creation of Krypton, he was in charge of Business Development at the Société Générale de Banque au Liban Bank (SGBL), one of Lebanon leading financial institutions.
Over the course of his career at SGBL, he held managerial positions in different departments including marketing and most notably risk management. He remains a consultant for the bank, an advisor to the CEO, and a member of the board of Fidus SAL the Wealth Management arm of SGBL, one of Lebanon’s leading provider of investment, brokerage and financial services.
Mr. Sehnaoui also been involved and created several start-ups that developed into full fledged success stories in the MENA region, the latest of which is a Third Party Administrator (TPA) that provides risk and healthcare management services for insurance companies, called Total Care. This company now operates in Lebanon and Saudi Arabia and is one of the leading providers in both countries.
His involvement in Information Security comes from a passion that has been nurtured over the past 20 years, and his areas of expertise include penetration testing, wireless networks assessment and network management.
Holder of a Masters in Economics from the University Saint Joseph (USJ) in Lebanon as well as a degree in Management, Mr. Sehnaoui completed over the past few years many courses on Information Security and Ethical Hacking, and is a recognized active member of the InfoSec Community.
Jens Muecke brings to the team over 15 years of experience in Software Development, Networks Architecture, Coding and Analysis. Prior to joining KRYPTON, he participated in many open source projects for embedded devices, mobile apps and VPN (Virtual Private Networks) networks.
Over the last 6 years he worked in the Information Security field for social networks, financial institutes, media agencies, software vendors and insurance companies.
Jens combines the knowledge of Ethical Hacking and Senior Software Development for large projects. He is also the co-founder of a Hackerspace and has been an active member of the Information Security scene for over 15 years. He has been sought out as a speaker many times for international conferences, as well as advising on laws and projects for the German government.
His area of expertise includes Reverse Engineering, Penetration Testing and Vulnerabilities Scanning of large networks and software projects. In his spare time, Jens works in developing micro-controllers for home automation.
Philippe has over 9 years of experience in Information Security. Prior to joining KRYPTON, Philippe was a Senior Manager within the Information & Technology Risk practice at Deloitte Luxembourg where he led a team in charge of Security & Privacy engagements.
For the past 5 years, Philippe has been almost exclusively serving the banking and FSP sector in his areas of expertise that include Information Systems audit and Information Security/IT security advisory & consulting
In his previous work experience, Philippe held several roles within the information system security department of a global pharmaceutical company in London.
While working with a heterogeneous network of over 100,000 users across the world and strict regulatory requirements, Philippe gained hands-on experience with various security technologies (VPN, Network and Application Firewalls, IDS, IPS, Host Intrusion Prevention, etc.)
He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), OSSTMM Professional Security Analyst (OPSA), OSSTMM Professional Security Tester (OPST) and Associate Member of the Business Continuity Institute (AMBCI)
Jayson E. Street
Jayson is a world renowned Social Engineering expert, with over a decade of experience in Information Technology Security. He is a published author and a regular guest speaker in IT Security conferences all around the globe.
Jayson is well versed in the ten domains of Information Systems security defined by the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium ([ISC]2).
He specializes in intrusion detection response, penetration testing, and auditing. He also has a working knowledge of the implementation and administration of major firewalls, vulnerability scanners, and intrusion detection systems.
Previous to joining KRYPTON, he created and conducted security awareness training for major Internet banks, and has created security policies and procedures currently used by several companies. He also devised and taught a three day training course on Intrusion Detection Systems for government agencies.
Jayson holds many certifications including CISSP, C|EH, ECIH,GSEC, GCIH, IEM, IAM, and was chosen as one of Time’s persons of the year in 2006.
Kevin Richard is one of the Social Engine Optimization (SEO) and Social Media Optimization (SMO) precursors in Europe.
For the past 7 years, prior to joining KRYPTON, he has been involved in creating and releasing new SEO & SMO techniques, organizing SEO contests, and developing the very first “Advanced SEO” training sessions, called “SEO High Level” with the participation of the best SEO operators in Europe.
Mr. Richard has been working with major companies all around Europe covering a large array of fields, and contributed to develop the notoriety of small businesses through exceptional, fast and sustainable SEO results.
He is a recognized pioneer in the E-Reputation field, ensuring that clients get effective and fast clean results in critical situations.
Mr. Richard offered training sessions to the largest companies in Europe and abroad to help them understand what are the up-to-date effective techniques that will make a website gain online visibility.
Such results are a bi-product of Mr. Richard’s strong technical profile (scripting Online Automation, Scraping, Web Proxying, Coding, etc…) and his continuous technical research & development in following every search engine’s updates and every groundbreaking techniques.
Mohamad has over 8 years of professional experience in Information Security. He is an advanced penetration testing expert with excellent knowledge of penetration testing tools and frameworks. He also has a solid understanding of programming and scripting languages as well as web technologies and hands-on experience with various security technologies such as IDS/IPS, VPN, etc.
Mohamad has expertise in Malware Analysis and over the past few years, he has been a credible contributor to the open source communities.
Prior to joining KRYPTON, Mohamad worked as an IT Security Specialist in a Cyber Emergency Response Team (CERT) at a renowned institution in Germany. During this period, Mohamad was confronted with a wide variety of technologies and systems where he was able to gain excellent knowledge of all aspects of Incident Response, including identification, mitigation and containment of various security threats and attack vectors at network as well as at application levels. He also planned and performed security audits and vulnerability assessments as an in-house consultant.
In his previous roles, Mohamad worked as security researcher at various German universities, in addition to being employed at a German Network Operation Center.
Mohamad holds a Master's Degree in Information Security from the Ruhr University of Bochum in Germany.
Georges J. Jahchan
Georges has over 15 years of Information Security experience, of which 5
Years in security management and InfoSec audit and 8 years as a senior consultant and client adviser, with strong information security program Design & execution skills.
Georges has a thorough understanding of ISO 27000, PCI/DSS and COBIT standards and is a professional SIEM implementation engineer in PCI CDE environments.
He is an expert in information security assessments, audits and in the analysis of IT Operational Risk in both Windows and Unix environments. He also possesses technology consulting expertise in Windows environments for the banking, telecoms, and government sectors.
He is proficient in IT systems and application auditing as well as hardening of Windows, Unix and Linux environments. He is an expert in vulnerability assessment, penetration testing and he understands the alignment of IT & information security with business.
Thoroughly familiar with best practice in security management and infrastructure management, including virtualization and cloud computing.
With Excellent oral and written communications skills in English, French and Arabic, Georges is an effective communicator with CxO's as well as with the technical staff.
